Isn't a repeater enough?
Sometimes. But repeaters often slow things down and cause dropouts. Several wired access points are usually the calmer solution.
Do we need guest Wi-Fi?
If guests, customers or patients need to get online: yes. In a separate network they can't get at your data.
Am I liable if guests get up to mischief over my Wi-Fi?
In Germany, the liability of operators of open Wi-Fi networks was significantly restricted in 2017. A separate guest network and a short notice on acceptable use still make sense. We don't replace legal advice.
